Make a Difference: Help Provide Fresh, Nutritious Food to Those in Need
Food insecurity continues to plague too many of our neighbors in Massachusetts. Prior to the pandemic, less than one in ten households reported food insecurity. By May of 2020 this number rose to almost 20% of households, and four years later we still have not recovered. In fact, the number continues to rise.
Due to the rising costs of housing and other basic needs like food, homes with children face an even greater challenge keeping food on the table, with an estimated 22.9% of Massachusetts households with children facing food insecurity.
Thanks to generous donor support, Land’s Sake is able to donate 30% of everything we grow and harvest to feed those in need. Through partnerships with food pantries, shelters, and food access programs, Land’s Sake produce is distributed throughout the Boston Metro area to those who need it, expanding access to fresh, nutritious food.
Our valued partners include Food for Free, Spoonfuls, Boston Area Gleaners, Rosie's Place, Newton Food Pantry, Sudbury Food Pantry, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry (Weston and Lincoln) and the Weston Council on Aging.
