Shop at Whole Foods, Donate to Land's Sake! Ongoing through the month of January. We are excited to work with Whole Foods Market this January! Throughout the month, you will be able to make a donation to Land's Sake at the registers of the following stores: Framingham, Sudbury, Wellesley, Newton, Newtonville, and Dedham.

Forest Walks at the Case Estates. Sat. Jan 20 at 10 am & Tue Jan 23 at 12 pm. Land's Sake is managing the forest on a portion of the Municipal Purposes land at the Case Estates. If you're interested in learning more, join us at either of the two Forest Walks! We will meeting in the parking lot by the Case Barn at 122 Wellesley St. It may  be easiest to park on Alphabet Lane and walk over. 

Tapping Out Volunteer Day. Sat. Feb 10, 10 am – 12 pm.  An annual New England tradition: help us install taps and buckets on Weston's maple trees! Please Sign up here. Location: Melone Homestead, 27 Crescent St, Weston, MA. If using GPS, type in “25 Crescent St.”

Tu B'shvat & the Local Trees. Sun. Feb. 25, 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Join us for this fun, educational annual event for all ages! Tu B’shvat is traditionally a time to asses our field and fruit trees. Led by the Land’s Sake and Ganei Beantown educators, we’ll explore the sugaring process, from tree-tapping, wood splitting, boiling and bottling. Cost $10 per person non-member. Sugaring Off. Sat. Mar. 24, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Tour our Sugar House, watch maple sugaring demonstrations, and enjoy a maple-y breakfast, all led by student in our Maple Education programs.  *Location: The Bill McElwain Sugar House at Weston Middle School (456 Wellesley St, Weston MA)*

Annual Meeting. Thu. April 5th, 7 pm, at the Weston Public Library.  Open to the public: please join us to celebrate Land's Sake. We will have a brief business meeting, including a report from our Executive Director Pam Hess, the election of new board members and the slate of officers.  You'll also enjoy refreshments and a talk by Charlotte Trim. Charlotte Trim is an organic beekeeper who has been focused on bee health for the past 12 years.  As an organic orchardist and soil consultant, Charlotte is also mindful of the bee's role as pollinator and their impact on the immediate environment. Originally from Europe, Charlotte currently lives in Lincoln MA.

Medicinal Plant Walk. Tue. May 8, 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Join Land's Sake Education Manager and Herbalist Anna Cohen for a walk of the local and cultivated medicinal plants at Land's Sake! There is an amazing variety of natural medicine growing all around us. This plant walk will feature a variety of medicinal plants in season, both cultivated and wild. Expect to meet different plants each season.  Free for eligible 2018 Land’s Sake Members. Sign up here.

Folk Roots Singing Workshop. Friday, May 11 6:00-7:30 pm. Join Lorraine Fitzmaurice to explore the folk traditions of the British Isles and Appalachia in a pastoral setting! Many songs were created to be sung while working on the farm, or feature herbs, animals (especially birds), and the turning of the seasons as themes. Sign up here.

Songs for Seedlings. Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Song and dance hour for families with young children. Come sing (and dance to!) songs about seeds, plants, farms, and animals. Some you may already know, some will be brand new! Take what you learn home with you in a little booklet and start growing your own family singing tradition. Sign up here.

Mindfulness in Nature. Mon. May 14, 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm. Reduce stress and connect to nature through gentle guided and silent meditation in a quiet corner of the farm. Sip herbal tea, listen to the beat of the drum and the sounds of the meadow, and let the stress of your week slip away.  Free for eligible 2018 Land's Sake Members. Sign up here.

No prior experience is necessary, but seasoned artists are welcomed as well. Eat Your Medicine: Spring Wild Edibles. Wed. May 30, 5:30-6:30 pm. Join Land's Sake Education Manager and Herbalist Anna Booth Cohen to learn about our local, wild "superfoods!" Participants will learn about the nutritious and medicinal wild plants that grow abundantly in spring. This experiential, hands-on program will include information and practice in harvesting and plant ID, traditional medicinal use, and preparation for several local medicinal plants. Sign up here.

Farmstand Opening Celebration. Sat. June 2, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. The annual opening of our Farmstand, complete with vendor tastings and family friendly activities. The Celebration ends at 1, but the Farmstand will be open until 4.

Open Farmyard. Every Thursday from June 7 to Oct.18, 3:00 -5:00 pm. Join Land’s Sake Educators on the Farm for weekly activities include stories, picking and planting in the Education Garden, exploring the Chicken Coop and more! This is a free program. Donations welcome. Open Farmyard will be cancelled if it is raining.

Summer Solstice Dinner. Thu, June 21, 6:30 pm. Our summer farm-to-table dinner, enjoyed right on the farm! We'll enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Chef Joshua Smith of Moody's and The Backroom. Learn more about Summer Solstice Dinner here. Tickets will go on sale in late May or early June.

Fairies, Gnomes, and Elves Festival. Sun. June 17, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Celebrate the magic of summer at Land's Sake's Fairies, Gnomes, and Elves Festival! We will have stations set up around the farm that offer fun, creative activities for children to enjoy. Sign up here.
