Free Fun with Open Farmyard


Thank you to everyone who made the 2017 Open Farmyard season so fun! We want to extend a huge thank you to the Weston Cultural Council for funding the program, to our team of educators, and to each family who joined us at the farm, whether for one session or for the whole season. Open Farmyard has come to an end for the 2017 season, but please join us again when we start up once more in June! 

Join Land’s Sake Educators on the Farm for weekly activities include stories, picking and planting in the Education Garden, exploring the Chicken Coop and more! This is a free, drop-in program for young children and caregivers. Activities are geared for ages 2.5-7, but children of all ages are welcome to participate. Donations welcome. Open Farmyard will be cancelled if it is raining.

This program runs for the duration of our 20 week CSA shares, from early June to late October, on Thursdays from 3:00-5:00.

3:15-3:30 Visiting the chickens 

3:30-3:45 Planting project in the Education Garden 

3:45-4:00 Tasting vegetables in the Education Garden 

4:00-4:10 Storytime 

4:10-4:20 Bunny Circle 

4:20-4:30 Feeding the rabbits 

4:30-4:45 Visiting the goats 

4:45-5:00 Craft
