Free Fun with Open Farmyard


Open Farmyard is back for another season, with a NEW Saturday session along with the popular Thursday afternoon session!

Join Land’s Sake Educators on the Farm for weekly activities including stories, picking and planting in the Education Garden, exploring the Chicken Coop and more! This is a free, drop-in program for young children and caregivers. Activities are geared for ages 2.5-7, but children of all ages are welcome to participate. Donations welcome. Open Farmyard will be cancelled if it is raining.

This program runs for the duration of our 20 week CSA shares, from early June to late October, on Thursdays (June 7- October 18) from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm and Saturdays (June 9 - October 20) from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.

3:00-3:15 Watering the Education Garden

3:15-3:30 Visiting the chickens

3:30-3:45 Planting project in the Education Garden

3:45-4:00 Tasting vegetables in the Education Garden

4:00-4:10 Storytime

4:10-4:20 Bunny Circle

4:20-4:30 Feeding the rabbits

4:30-4:45 Visiting the goats

4:45-5:00 Craft

Open Farmyard also benefited from a 2018 grant for garden supplies from the Wellesley Hills Junior Women's Club.
