Food & Land Lovers of all ages Welcome:

Join us on Saturday June 5th at Land’s Sake Farm for the season opening of our beloved farm stand. Come get a taste of what’s in store this growing season with early vegetables, vendor meet & greets, live Music and activities for the whole family!  The celebration will run from 10am – 2pm and the farmstand will remain open until 3pm.  Visitors can meet our dedicated farm team to learn more about our hard work and commitment to healthy food & land management year round.

At The Stand:

Veggies available include early spring’s usual suspects, lots of leafy greens, radishes or flavor packed arugula. Mother Nature’s unpredictability may give us some surprises, as is the caveat true for all organic and seasonal farming. In addition to our flavorful produce, we offer an assortment of local treats to tempt your taste buds. A Home-Grown favorite is our maple syrup, tapped from trees here in Weston and boiled down at our Sugar House over the winter – limited availability, get it while it lasts!  Stock up on our local raw honey from hives on our farm, another hometown favorite. Other items available include:  salsas, specialty fruit jams, spices & baked goods, all locally sourced from New England farms and kitchens.  Bread Obsession, and their artisan baked breads will be available at the stand delivered fresh daily, a wholesome addition to our CSA!

**Thanks to our local artisans and businesses for making this event an interactive experience! Stop by and learn about the newest business bringing wellness to Weston. Meet the ladies of Intuitive Wellness, promoting mind & body health in the center of town & beyond. They will have a booth where you can learn more, sign up and provide some healthy activities for all ages. We would like to thank them as our business sponsor of the day helping provide music on the farm!

**Our friends at Bascom Hollow Farm return this season to deliver their top notch cuts of Grass fed and pastured meats every Saturday!  They offer pork chops, roasts, steaks, ground beef, ground sausage & bacon, but first come first served! Sells out quickly and please note that the packages are frozen.

**Thanks to the local Qureshi Family for providing this amazing product! Zaazey Olive oil, real Tree to Table!  Picked at peak ripeness and gently crushed within hours, the finest ZAAZEY olives yield the freshest, healthiest, antioxidant rich extra virgin olive oil. Take Home a FREE bottle when you sign up for membership at our event, or receive membership pricing discounts this season.

**Local, Creative & Inspiring!  Stop by to visit our artisans with a variety of talents. Larry Grob, local plein air professional, will have his pastel masterpieces on display & for purchase to experience his transformation of New England landscape. Our resident wood carver, Matt Day of Newton, will have his hand made housewares available, alongside a demonstration of the tedious yet beautiful process of wood carving.  Prophecy Chocolate will be there to sweeten the deal!  Try their wild foraged heirloom flavor packed varieties, made with the finest cacao bean directly sourced from traditional Peruvian farmers.

* We Love dogs, but we also grow food here at the farm. Dogs must be leashed as a precaution to the public and a law on agricultural land. Stop by our Doggie Cafe where your BFF ( Best Furry Friend) can cool off and pick up an organic snack of their own!

Know Your Farmer:

Stop by to meet our 2021 farm crew and NEW farm manager Brendan Murtha!  We are so excited to welcome him and his extensive experience to our community.  Our name says it all… Land’s Sake!  For the sake of the land, we work year round to provide healthy growing conditions for our crops and manage the surrounding forest. Using organic growing methods, we sustainably care for the soil  by implementing cultural practices such as rotating crops or planting cover crops for better soil health.  The result is delicious! Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Program is a great way to discover new vegetable varieties through the season and connect with the land where your food is growing.

It doesn’t get fresher than off the vine: PYO (Pick Your Own) is a wonderful way to get veggies & herbs fresh from nature.  Our famous Flower Garden will be open around mid-June, inspiring creativity and relaxation.

Education & Activities:

Visit Katrina & Explore our Education Garden, where you can learn about all the vegetables, flowers, and herbs that we’ve been growing with our spring programs.  We’ll have garden activities for naturalists of all ages, rock painting, animal visits, and farm scavenger hunts. June also means that our popular free-of-charge Open Farmyard is back for another season on Wednesdays 3-5pm and Saturdays 9-12pm!  And, for adults wanting a taste of the farm, we have launched our NEW Friday Farm Workshops, a series exploring herbalism, inspired farm 2 home recipes, nature art & Floral arranging. In June, learn about “The Power of the Flower” , how to make salad dressing, animal anatomy drawing and flower arranging with spring edibles. Reserve your spot today!   www.LandsSake.org
