Come learn Ayurvedic cooking techniques and recipes, using winter vegetables from Land’s Sake Farm such as carrots, parsley, turnips, spinach, kale and arugula to promote strength, vitality, and good digestion.

Kitchari is basic to the Ayurvedic way of life. Composed of basmati rice and mung dal, it has as many variations as there are cooks who prepare it. A one-pot dish, kitchari originates on the Asian subcontinent and has references dating back thousands of years. The buttermilk recipe is often used to restore the beneficial intestinal bacteria — a unique and difficult task. It is very good for assimilation and provides an excellent source of crucial digestive microbes. This delicious recipe helps restore the beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract, thus helping digestion and assimilation.
